We're attempting to raise our baby - a boy - for one year on everything borrowed, some things blue. We're hoping to borrow, rent or buy used everything from baby clothes to furniture to diapers. We're first time parents, living in New York City, and hope this little experiment will help us enter parenthood with a bit more awareness and a lot more humility.

Parallel Playing

We ventured into the city one day where EBB did some serious parallel playing with his peeps and their rents. Here are some pics.

Uncle Brother and Genetics

The EBB loves Uncle Brother (don't worry, his Uncle Brother is really just his Uncle, who's called "Brother" by his brothers, one of which is the EBB's father...it's all cool). Here they are just hanging out. There's also a good pick of the Everything Borrowed Baby in his cousin's old booster seat (before we got the used highchair from eBay), with the strategically placed "Understanding Genetics" book from his father helping him to sit up straight.

Hanging out on the couch in March

Just to make 150% sure we're over-documenting this poor kids life, here are pictures of us doing absolutely nothing but pretty much hanging out on the couch in early March. It's a good reminder that although most of what we remember from this time was continued crazy sleep deprivation, we also had some pretty sweet moments just hanging out. We've also managed to capture some other very important milestones: dining at IKEA, seeing/yet not seeing the butterflies at the American Museum of Natural history, solidifying our love for the spatula. See previous posts for mid-March trip to Pittsburgh.
